The terms behind every quote
Plain-English terms covering how quotes, orders and branding work when you order through Ridgeback.
Last updated: 28 August 2026. These terms apply to any quote request or order placed through ridgebackworkwear.co.za or directly with Ridgeback.
Quotes are estimates, not invoices
Submitting a quote request does not place an order or create a binding contract. Every request is reviewed by hand: we confirm stock, sizing and branding before sending back written pricing. An order is only confirmed once you've accepted that written quote.
Pricing and payment
Prices are confirmed per quote and can change between an initial estimate and final confirmation if quantities, sizing or branding change. This site does not process payments, take card details or run a checkout. Payment terms (deposit, invoicing, timing) are agreed directly with you once a quote is accepted.
Stock and lead times
Products shown are a curated selection from our distributor network. Availability, colours and sizing can change without notice, and stock is only guaranteed once your order is confirmed. Lead times vary by product, quantity and branding, and any estimate we give is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Branding and customisation
For embroidery, printing or other branding, we'll confirm artwork, placement and colours with you before production starts. Once you approve a proof, we're not responsible for errors that match what was approved. Minor variation in placement, thread colour or print finish between batches is normal for garment branding and isn't a defect.
Cancellations and returns
Because most orders are sized and branded to your specification, custom or branded items can't be returned once production has started unless they're faulty. Unbranded stock items may be returnable by arrangement, raised with us before the order is placed. Faulty items are replaced or refunded, contact us as soon as you notice an issue.
Website use
The catalogue is provided to help you build a quote request accurately. We try to keep product information, images and sizing correct, but don't guarantee the site is error-free or uninterrupted. Product photos are supplied by our distributor network and are representative, actual colour can vary slightly with screen and lighting.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Ridgeback's liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the value of that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost business arising from a delayed or incorrect delivery.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Terms already confirmed in a written quote or order aren't affected retroactively by a later update to this page.
